Woodworking Program
Building Skills Through Craftsmanship
Our Woodshop produces high-quality wood products while teaching valuable trade skills.
Products Include:
- Kindling
- Picnic tables
- Garbage boxes
- Bookcases
- Washer toss games
- Survey stakes
We proudly partner with six other agencies through The Ability Wood Products Co-op, allowing us to manufacture at a larger scale. Projects have included:
- “Big Red Chairs”
- Wooden Christmas trees
- Lemonade stands for Sobeys
- Deck chairs for Kent stores
Skills Learned:
- Measuring and precision cutting
- Equipment operation
- Forklift certification
- Customer service
- Safety procedures
We also accept custom orders when suitable for participant training needs.
